Training:
I decided to start Vogel Hund Kennels and Training Academy because, I
found that most bird dog owners lacked one or more of the following.
1. Adequate and safe training facilities
2. Knowledge (experience)
3. Availability of birds
These are some of the elements that I provide the first time bird dog
owner, as well as the more experienced handler.
Facilities:
As you may or may not know, locations to safely train dogs have become
very hard to find. Here at Vogel Hund Kennels and Training Academy we
have 20 acres specifically groomed to enhance your training sessions.
Knowledge:
As the old saying goes "experience is the best teacher" is never more
truthful than in bird dog training. After 30+ years of hunting
Pennsylvania grouse and competing in field trials such as the National
Bird Hunters Association and A.K.C. Sanctioned hunting tests I have
found through trial and error what has and has not worked to develop a
top notch gun dog. Whether you have a problem in a specific area or you
are starting a new pup from the beginning we can help. Vogel Hund
Kennels and Training Academy classes are personalized and designed to
help you utilize knowledge gained to allow you to train your gun dog to
your specifications.
Birds:
It`s your dogs first name "bird" dog. Vogel Hund Kennels and Training
Academy uses pen raised Quail, Pigeons, Pheasants and Chukars in your
training session. Your dog will be exposed to as many birds as most gun
dogs will see in an entire hunting season. This exposure and controlled
training environment contribute to you and your dog rapidly gaining
experience as a hunting team.
