WHO AND WHAT WE ARE
Vogel Hund Kennels, an old fashioned family run business dedicated to proper breeding of GSP gun dogs. Our long time and constant objective is to breed a sensitive and alert GSP specifically bred to function well in the field and in the home. We believe strongly in the well intentioned dog, which is entirely different from a willful dog who hunts only for himself and only for his own pleasure, not yours. We expect our dogs to be born to work with you and for you with the capacity to understand and accept that this is the way of things (The right and proper traditional way of things).

The decades of careful development of Vogel Hund GSP`s and the methods used to bring them to their full potential, receives our full time attention. WE SPECIFICALLY:

1. Breed GSP`s that do not require extensive expertise to train.

2. Choose puppies with great care to match owners with their prospective gundogs.

3. Offering training classes through unique, sound and proven methods.

4. Maintain contact with many of our customers in all phases of training in order to utilize their experience to further improve our GSP`s

5. Continue to evaluate our puppies on a continuing and constant basis to ensure we are raising fine puppies - we ourselves would be proud to own.

It is true that there are many sources of GSP`s in this country: including show, field trial and hunting dog varieties. We believe equally, that few offer a better puppy for hunting than we do. Not many have our extensive long term experience with GSP`s that we will share with you, the customer, as a free added value.

We have everything right at hand that we need to thoroughly test our puppies and their mothers abilities and quality. There is no substitute for the availability of birds and terrain to test, evaluate and to make a good bird dog. A proving ground is a must!!  We can and do  -  hunt right out our backdoor.
